A(nother) Train-Themed Birthday Celebration

Ray, our little train man, turned 7 today! He had a truly wonderful day.

We gave him money to spend and Jon took him to a model train show!

Ray LOVES to study model train layouts. This picture makes me laugh! Look at the old guys in the background. They probably started out with this hobby when they were Ray's age. It seems that this will be a lifelong passion for Ray too.

They were very excited when they came home with a BIG BOX of train stuff. Apparently they made a deal for a whole big bunch of trains, tracks, buildings, accessories.....

We had my family over for a birthday dinner celebration. Ray loved showing off his trains to everybody.

My crazy sisters, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew. (Check out Carter's "Mario" mustache. Of course Adam had to have one too!)

How many 7 year olds do you know who ask for miniature trees for their birthday? Ray was thrilled to get these trees for his layout. Thanks NeeNee!

Aunt Reenie tapped into another one of Ray's loves.... CHEESE! She attached a piece of cheese to his birthday card! So funny!

Ray insisted that we NOT serve cake. We had an ice cream sundae bar instead. Yummy!

After everyone had left, we found Ray tinkering with his trains..... so sleepy but not wanting the fun day to end!

Check out the giant Jesus standing next to the house! ;)

On Thursday Ray was thrilled to receive a big package from Pappy and Mary.... fillled with lots of stuff for his train layout. He got some kits to make buildings. Thanks Pappy and Mary!

I thank God everyday for this sweet, active, fun, loving boy!
Happy birthday Ray!
I love you!
