A Month in Pictures

Here's a photo montage of what we've been up to in late November!

Adam knitted a hat (with a little help from me).

We're till having fun learning about the 50 States at our American Adventure co-op.

Maryland "crabs"

We led a few meetings of Adam' Bear Scout den.
We taught the boys some basic cooking skills.

Art.... We learned about and imitated some famous artists.
Adam chose Georgia O'Keeffe.
Ray chose Charles Willson Peale.

Music.... We took part in a five week program at a local college. Every Saturday morning the boys attended a music theory class and individual piano lessons taught by future music teachers. Ray is especially interested in pursuing more piano lessons in the new year.

We did a brief unit study about Ancient Africa.

Our Learning Tree co-op wrapped up its Fall session. Ray sang with the choir in the concluding showcase.

Handsome boys growing up too fast!
Preparing to sing at the Showcase.

Ray's Ohio class also displayed their lapbooks and relief maps.
We participated in our local Holiday Lights parade. The boys and Jon marched with the swim team. It was a wet, yucky evening..... just like most of the swim meets last summer!

Jon's firm held their annual holiday party at a super fun bowling/arcade restaurant. As usual, we were spoiled with lots of great presents.
Adam's big prize that he won in the arcade!

MaMaw joined in on the fun!

Bowling!
Hockey! We had the privilege of attending a Blue Jackets / Red Wings game. It was a fun night, but not a good one for our local team. As usual, Jon couldn't decide who to cheer for.

Floor hockey at the arena.

We received an awesome surprise package from Aunt Nancy!
Adam LOVED excavating gems from the kit he received.
Thanks Aunt Nancy!

School.
We did, somehow, squeeze a lot of that in too.

Snow! Boo! Too soon!

Big Hero 6 was a big hit with our crew!

Our annual visit to the awesome train display at the downtown library.
On the day before Thanksgiving we enjoyed a super fun "crafternoon" and "Friendsgiving" meal with some of our best buddies!

And, of course, Thanksgiving!
My mom hosted us for a delicious meal and a lovely family day.
Thanks Mom!

Happy belated Thanksgiving!

One of my favorite turkeys... and a great school project.
