The boys had originally planned to start their summer off with their first "solo" trip to Myrtle Beach with my Dad and Mary. However, my dad injured his knee and it had to be postponed. Well, you can bet that neither the boys nor my Dad nor Mary were going to forget about their plans. They ended up closing out the summer with a super-fun week at Myrtle Beach without the parents! While all the local kids headed back to school, our guys were having a blast down in South Carolina. It worked out well. I was able to get the final planning done for our school year. Jon and I headed down and spent Labor Day weekend with them before dragging the boys home for school. Here are some highlights from their trip ---
