After two full days of trekking around the Disney parks we were all ready to head for the next leg of our journey --- a four day cruise on the Disney Dream! I can't emphasize enough how much fun ALL of us had on this trip. Disney does it right. Amazing service and food. Beautiful ship. And activities for EVERYONE. We even saw a "crawling baby race" one day. The kids had a blast in the kids clubs and at the pools. The adults really enjoyed lounging and bar-hopping and attending various shows and activities. We can't wait to do this again!
I tried hard to sort through the 513 pictures.... but I've still got a lot on this post. I hope you enjoy them.

Getting ready to board the ship.
Mamaw even got us special shirts to wear!
Fun in the Kids Club
Safety Drills
The Bon Voyage Deck Party
We really enjoyed Disney's rotational dining plan. We got to eat in each of the beautiful dining rooms AND keep our same awesome servers. They were so great at entertaining the kids and bringing out their food at exactly the right time.
Our server making an origami figure out of Ray's menu in the Royal Palace dining room. |
We all loved our dinner at the Animators Palate. The artwork "came alive" and we got to visit with Crush from Finding Nemo. |
I honestly think the kids would have been happy just to be in the pools for our entire trip. They loved swimming in the Mickey and Donald pools. Ray especially enjoyed hanging out in the pool and watching movies on the giant TV screen. (Shocking, huh?) But the BIGGEST hit with the kids was the AquaDuck. It's an onboard water coaster. We all rode it and it really is fun.... but the kids never got tired of it. Adam rode it 30 times!
Carter and Ava on the Aquaduck |
Do you see Ray in this picture? I was constantly worried that he would drown because he was too interested in the movie. |
Our First Port of Call: Nassau, Bahamas
Some On-Board Evening Fun
Our Second Port of Call: Castaway Cay (Disney's Private Island)
Pirate Night!
Mamaw and her pirate mateys! Rrrrr! |
More On-Board Fun!
We all loved the "FREE" ice cream! We definitely ate our fair share of it. |
Enjoying our Stateroom balcony. |
Adam with one of the "moving pictures." The boys really loved playing a detective game that involved these all around the ship. |
Yes, it's daylight.... but we were waiting for the fireworks. The firework show got rained out on pirate night, so they had to do it early on the last evening. It was still cool. |
Our happy family! Waiting for the Disney Believe stage show to begin. |
Character Mania!
After the character goodbye party (10:30pm on the last night.... Adam literally cried. He cried himself to sleep because he never wanted to leave the ship.
Meanwhile, Ray and Jon were smart ------
They got more sleep than anyone else. 6:45 breakfast came fast on that last morning!
I think this is my favorite picture from the whole trip. We love you Mamaw! Thank you for this awesome trip. These will be forever memories for all of us. |
Katie, what an awesome trip! Did it feel crowded? Disney parks are too crowded for me (I felt like an animal being herded along while visiting Animal Kingdom). My kids would love an adventure like this!
